Who can forget Mr. D’Amico’s freshman Introductory to Physical Sciences course?

Many a hand -- and ego – were singed at the misuse of the bunsen burners in that IPS class, and at the receiving end of one of Mr. D’Amico’s short and fiery tirades.

However, in 1970 Mr. D’Amico founded the Bishop Duffy hockey team, a varsity sport that continues 38 years later. Without Mr. D’Amico’s foresight and effort, there would have been no Duffy/NC hockey, and for that we will be eternally grateful to him.
